We are constantly in search of balance and meaning in our lives at a time when we have been swept into the fast lane that is consuming us – at what cost? Physically, we are succumbing to the effects of stress such as cardiovascular and other systemic diseases. Mentally and emotionally we are succumbing to anxiety disorders, depression, eating disorders and more. Spiritually we don’t have the time to connect with our higher self. Let’s not even mention the financial repercussions of the above which would add to the stress and perpetuate the cycle.
The answer is SLOW DOWN – LIVE ON PURPOSE and with meaning.
- Breathe deeply.
- Observe and enjoy your surroundings – listen and hear.
- Take time for yourself and take care of yourself.
- Nurture significant relationships and appreciate quality time with them.
- Savor a delicious and nutritious meal.
- Take a walk in nature.
Life is too short and too fast to live with “I wish I had or I wonder what if”- it is easier to live with “at least I did or at least I tried”. Avoid the “wake up call” of illness or loss and LIVE NOW.
